This piece captures the exact moment the mainland falls away and Boca Grande begins to work its spell—that deep breath as you cross the bridge beside the old railroad tracks, windows down, salt air curling in, or the quiet thrill of arriving by boat with the shoreline glimmering ahead. It’s the instant the pace shifts, shoulders drop, and the world feels lighter—translated here into silk.

To capture that feeling, I collaborated with artist Larissa Flynn, whose oil painting layers texture and tone to evoke Boca Grande’s beauty, history, and coastal ease. From that canvas came this carré—not as a direct portrait, but as a wearable interpretation of place, mood, and memory.

Printed on 16mm silk twill and finished with meticulous hand-rolled seams, each 36” x 36” scarf is crafted in Como, Italy, to the highest standard. Designed to be worn, framed, or gifted, it is the inaugural release in The Edition—a collectible series of silk pieces by LBS Designs, each rooted in a sense of place and a feeling worth holding onto.
